Portsmouth goalkeeper David James is set to start for England tonight against Algeria.
The Sun says the Pompey veteran, 39, takes over following Robert Green's clanger in the opening Group C clash with the USA.
Capello is not convinced Green has recovered from letting Clint Dempsey's slip shot through his fingers in the 1-1 draw and has opted for James instead of highly-rated Manchester City stopper Joe Hart.
The decision comes as a shock as James had felt he was not being given a fair crack of the whip and it was widely expected the Italian would turn to 23-year-old Hart.
However, Capello now believes James' experience is what is required in Cape Town this evening.
