“Young used to play on the left wing and was moved into a deeper left-back role, but he's ideal playing on the left with a three-man defence," Capello told Sky Sport Italia.
“He is good with both feet, has vision, runs hard and is not bad defensively. Plus he's very focused, always available. I think he's ideal for Antonio Conte's 3-5-2 formation."
He added: “Eriksen is a player of immense quality and vision. He provides assists and scores goals, but above all has this unique vision of the game.
“I suggested him to (then Tottenham director Franco) Baldini at the time and the deal went through."
