England coach Fabio Capello is disappointed with the three-match UEFA ban for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

Rooney has been left out of Capello's squad for this week's friendly double-header.

"The ban seems too much. I hope they take away one of the games," he said. "He hit the player but it was not too strong and he left without complaining. Rooney is very important. Whenever there's a big game, he makes his presence felt."
