Joaquin Caparros is open to staying as Sevilla coach next season.

Caparros stepped in to replace Pablo Machin after his sacking last week, leaving his sporting director's post in the process. The return of Monchi has now seen that job filled.

Caparros said: "This situation is not the one of last season. It is totally different. There has been talk of the possibility of continuing the next season but football is here and now.

"I would like to continue, to work again with Monchi, with whom I have a friendly relationship. But we have to wait, because what has happened here in 10 days is tremendous."
