Former Juventus captain Fabio Cannavaro has urged unit amid their board crisis.

President Andrea Agnelli and the board resigned on Monday amid a financial investigation.

Asked about the situation, Cannavaro said: "It was a surprise.

"But we are waiting for the new governance. Without forgetting that Juve have always given their best in times of difficulty."

Gianluca Ferrero has since been named new president.
