Fabio Cannavaro is backing former Juventus teammate Gigi Buffon over his expected move to PSG.

After leaving Juve, the 40 year-old goalkeeper has fielded a two-year contract offer from PSG worth €14-16m.

Cannavaro, currently in charge of Guangzhou Evergrande, said: "I did not expect him to decide to continue, but it can enrich him a lot... and not only economically! "There are some risks of course, but the desire seems stronger.

"Afterwards, I must admit that it will be strange to see him with another jersey than that of Juventus."
