Toronto FC defender Adrian Cann is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury this week.
The 2010 Reds MVP went down at training on Tuesday, suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament, and will now require surgery.
"I can confirm that Adrian has torn his ACL and will miss the rest of the season," said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director, Aron Winter.
"It is a disappointment because Adrian has had a good start to the season and has been playing well, we will certainly miss his presence in the lineup.
"While it is difficult there is now an opportunity for younger players like Nana Attakora and others."
