Joao Cancelo is cutting ties with Manchester City fans as he prepares to join Bayern Munich today.

The Daily Mail says he has been blocking a number of prominent City fan accounts on social media.

The Portuguese international right back is nearing a loan switch to the Bundesliga giants, with the deal set to include an option to buy the player for £61.5million.

After reports that Cancelo had a furious training ground bust-up with Pep Guardiola, it appears the defender has made his feelings towards the club known with his latest online actions.

On Monday afternoon, after news of Cancelo's transfer broke, one City fan account with a large following reported that the full-back's Instagram account was 'no longer active'.

However, that wasn't the case and in actuality the defender had blocked the page - meaning his profile wasn't visible to them.

The same page went on to suggest that the defender has 'blocked a lot of the big City pages on Instagram'.
