Sunderland captain Lorik Cana says they need to find consistency in their performances after victory over Arsenal.
Good home victories over Blackburn, Hull and Liverpool have been followed by defeats at Stoke, Burnley and Birmingham, and that is a pattern the Black Cats are desperate to break.
Cana told the Sunderland Echo: "We did really well at Manchester United and at home to Liverpool as well.
"When we play the big clubs, we get our mentality right. Everyone does their jobs and we keep our organisation.
"Sometimes when we have played away against perhaps not the biggest teams, we lose that organisation.
"We really need to make sure that doesn't happen at Wigan. They have beaten Chelsea at home this year and will make it tough for us.
"We have to get a good result. We will play to win the game."
