Fraizer Campbell hopes for a start tonight for Sunderland in the Carling Cup against Aston Villa.
Former Manchester United striker Campbell has not started since beating the Blues in the last round. The hot form of 13-goal pair Bent and Kenwyne Jones has restricted his chances, but the door is open at the Stadium of Light tonight.
Campbell said: "Credit to Benty and Kenwyne because they've been in fine form scoring goals and playing well. I am content to sit on the side of a good team for a bit, but when I get my chance, hopefully I can take it.
"I've played in most of the games this season so I feel very involved. It is a bit hard when you are coming on as a sub to pick up the pace of the game. You probably see the best of people when they start games and hopefully that will be the case with me if I get into the side against Villa."
