Cameroon FA yet to confirm Onana World Cup axe

The Cameroon FA have confirmed Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana has been temporarily suspended from World Cup duties for disciplinary reasons.

The 26-year-old was surprisingly dropped from the team ahead of Monday's 3-3 draw against Serbia at the World Cup.

The Nerazzurri keeper had a rown with coach Rigobert Song who said at a post-match press conference that Onana had to respect the rules, revealing that he could have continued at Qatar 2022 if his attitude changed.

The Cameroon FA have now released an official statement confirming that Onana has been temporarily suspended due to disciplinary reasons.

They have not specified whether the World Cup is over for him, but must likely Onana won't feature again for his national team at Qatar 2022.
