The camera never lies for Man City

Manchester City have agreed a three-year partnership with iON Cameras, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The point-of-view action camera brand will provide its wearable products to the Premier League title-chasers, who will use them to create behind-the-scenes matchday and training footage.

iON's cameras will also be installed at the BT City Square fan zone outside the club's Etihad Stadium, while the company will support one-off grassroots training clinics.

The deal was launched at City's new commercial base in central London, attended by the club's chief commercial and operating officer Tom Glick, with iON Cameras chief executive Giovanni Tomaselli providing a demonstration of the company's performance analysis platform.

Powered by software it secured through a recent acquisition of development firm PowerChalk, the system allows young players to compare upload video of their game and compare it to footage of City stars in action.

Coaches are also able to use telestrating tools to provide further instruction.
