Former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill says the team needs it's senior players to step up.
The west London outfit have won just two games in their last 16 matches across all competitions and are closer to the relegation zone than the top four. Chelsea have scored just 23 goals in 24 Premier League fixtures, but there are deeper problems than their lack of form in front of goal.
Former Blues captain Cahill has hinted at the lack of leadership in Potter's squad following the defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Cahill said: “I'm a big believer ability takes you so far and personality takes you that extra yard.
"When you're a player it is down to you to go out and perform. You need leaders, people who drive standards in training & out there [on the pitch] with the intensity levels."
