Cagliari have opened talks with Liverpool for Ragnar Klavan.

The Serie A minnows are pushing to sign the defender before the Serie A deadline falls on Friday.

Sportitalia says talks are progressing well for the 32-year-old Estonia international.

His current contract with Liverpool is due to expire in June 2019 and he has been at the club since 2016.

Klavan is also wanted by Fenerbahce this month.
