Cagliari is moving for Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Sky Italia says Cagliari have made an attempt to take Mitrovic on-loan from Newcastle.

However, Toon boss Rafa Benitez has blocked the move with his squad short of numbers.

Mitrovic, though, remains on the outer of Benitez's Premier League plans.
