Cagliari defender Diego Godin is weighing up a move to Real Betis.

The former Atletico Madrid captain has bounced from Inter Milan to Cagliari over the past year and is now interesting Betis.

Italian transfer expert Nicolò Schira reports Betis are in contact with the veteran.

Not only would this allow the former Atletico Madrid legend to return to La Liga, but also work with his old coach Manuel Pellegrini.

The Uruguay international played 72 games under Pellegrini at Villarreal from 2007-09.
