Cagliari are chasing Brazilian striker Thiago Ribeiro.
Ribeiro is a 25-year-old forward who has been at Cruzeiro since 2008.
He spent part of the 2004-05 campaign on loan with French club Bordeaux.
Ribeiro is likely to arrive as an alternative to free agent David Suazo.
