Cagliari coach Pierpaolo Bisoli blamed poor defending for their 4-2 defeat to Juventus.
Juve winger Milos Krasic dominated the scoreline with a sublime hat-trick.
"It was clear we could struggle with the fact they immediately went looking for the strikers, as they are considerably taller than us," said Bisoli.
"The difference was in the incidents. We scored twice with five chances, whereas in the same number of opportunities the Bianconeri got four goals.
"In terms of the actual match, we were on a par with them, but we cannot come to Turin and allow ricochets or loose balls like we did for their fourth goal.
"We allowed Juventus far too much room on set plays. We are aware that we made mistakes, but we will slowly improve."
