Caen CEO Xavier Gravelaine has slammed Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas over his claims around N'Golo Kante.
Aulas mocked Kante when he joined Leicester City last summer.
"Is it that he prefers to play for a bottom club in England or play in the Champions League with OL? Ask him," he declared.
Gravelaine told France Bleu: "I never had any proposals from Olympique Lyonnais. Jean-Michel Aulas is a great talker but there was never any proposals from OL.
"When I called for his first cap for France, I said N'Golo Kanté was the same this season in Leicester than he was at Caen. Except that Caen is a small club, because some think that only Olympique Lyon, Marseille, Paris and this-this. (...)
"But for French leaders like Jean-Michel Aulas or Labrune, its fine to say 'yes, go play there,' but when you have to put money on the table for the true value of a player they are unable to do so.
"Jean-Michel Aulas has never made a proposal for N'Golo Kante."
