Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has admitted he was surprised that he earned his first England call-up.
The 18-year-old, who was a product of Manchester City's academy, will be in Gareth Southgate's squad for the upcoming fixtures against Spain and Croatia.
"I was at training when I first got the call-up and straight away I called my parents. Obviously they were delighted for me and I couldn't stop smiling the whole day," Sancho told Sky Sports during his first England press conference.
"I was a bit surprised to be fair because obviously I'm so young, I've got a lot to learn, I'm just grateful he's seeing my progress in the Bundesliga and I'm just very thankful."
