Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke does not believe Wednesay night's loss to Tottenham was sparked a trip to the hairdressers.
German media has questioned Dortmund for allowing several players to visit a hairdresser on the day of the 3-0 drubbing at Wembley in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
"It certainly has no influence on a team's performance. There are sporting reasons for our defeat, and we need to analyse them," he told German newspaper, BILD.
"It's clear the defeat also leads to a critical media view of the hairdresser's visit. And that's why [sporting director] Michael Zorc and [squad manager] Sebastian Kehl will review this with the players."
