BVB chief warns Liverpool, Real Madrid: No Haaland buyout clause

Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke denies Erling Haaland's contract carries a buyout clause.

It's been claimed that one of the conditions for Haaland to sign for BVB last January was the inclusion of a buyout clause.

But Watzke told BILD: "There is no such agreement.

“But that's not the point either. It's about convincing the players of your club and your plans. We have the clear wish that Erling will stay with us longer and we want to convince him and his advisor of this. I'm pretty confident about that.

“I think that Erling feels very comfortable at BVB. He definitely took the right step last winter by joining us. Personally, I would consider it wrong to leave in the next one after such a short time."

Haaland is being linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid ahead of the January market.
