BVB boss Stoger thrilled with match-winner Batshuayi

Borussia Dortmund manager Peter Stoger believes that he made the right decision in bringing Michy Batshuayi to the club in the January transfer window.

Batshuayi is the man tasked with replacing the goals of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the club, and it appears he is off to a fine start. He has already scored in most of his appearances for the club.

The Belgian scored twice for the Bundesliga club to help them comeback from 2-1 down against Atalanta in their Europa League last-32 first leg tie on Thursday night.

"Michy is a real goalscorer," said Stoger after the game. "It was a good move to bring him here.

"The question was: How well does he fit into the team, will he feel at home here? Things are looking good.

"He is well-liked, fully integrated and our goals as well as his personal goals align.

"Scoring goals is one thing, but working for the team and winning balls like he did for the opener makes him a great striker."
