BVB boss Klopp: Ferguson regrets Man Utd treatment of Kagawa

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed Sir Alex Ferguson regrets not getting the most from Shinji Kagawa at Manchester United.

Klopp met up with the former Manchester United manager at a UEFA coaching forum at their Nyon headquarters just after the Japanese international returned to the Bundesliga.

Klopp told the Sun on Sunday: "I met Sir Alex in Nyon and he's still in love with Shinji. He told me, 'Shame we didn't manage this well so that it worked out for him. We were satisfied in the first year'.

"And in the second year you usually make the next step but he didn't manage to do it. But Sir Alex was saying 'Shame we should have made this work'."
