Butt watches on as Man Utd U21s held by Salford City

Salford City part-owner Nicky Butt was present on the sidelines as his club drew 3-3 with Manchester United's U21 squad.

The Evo Stik League outfit is co-owned by Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Butt - who was the only member of the Class of 92 in attendance at Moor Lane - as both sides continued their preparations for the season ahead.

Ashley Fletcher opened the scoring for the Red Devils from the penalty spot after eight minutes before James Weir doubled their lead before the break.

Josh Harrop then made it 3-0 just after the interval but former Red Devil Danny Webber and then Matt Chadwick made it 3-2.

United's youth side tried to hold on for the lead, but Sam Madeley struck to level the scores with just a couple of minutes left on the clock.
