Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno says they must always be prepared to wear the criticism that arrives.

Butragueno was speaking after Saturday's victory over Alaves, which was achieved with coach Zinedine Zidane forced into self-isolation.

He said, "Everyone knows what Zidane means to us. What we want is for him to come back to us as quickly as possible.

"We know what football is, we have been here for many years. When the team doesn't win, we have to listen to comments and rumours of all kinds.

"We must be united and work."
