Bury goalkeeper Ben Williams has spoken of making his debut with Manchester United.
Now 34, Williams was speaking with the Daily Mail.
"The overwhelming feeling of making my debut for the United first team in a pre-season friendly at Old Trafford was one. It was against Boca Juniors and Carlos Tevez was playing for them at the time.
"I was 19 or 20, so just a kid. With 20 minutes to go, Sir Alex Ferguson turned round to me and said: 'Get ready, you're coming on.' The stadium had just been expanded to hold 60,000 people and you're running on the pitch thinking to yourself: 'Left, foot, right foot, left foot ..' trying not to trip up, the most basic thing just to get through this overwhelming wall of noise and anxiety that gets dropped on to you.
"If memory serves me right, Carlos Tevez tried to chip me from about the halfway line. It caused me a bit of a scramble – I'm not going to lie - but it went wide fortunately."
