At just 22, Burnley striker Martin Paterson is already planning for life beyond playing.
Paterson is currently taking his `UEFA 'A' licence coaching badge at an extraordinarily young age.
"It's just something I wanted to do as soon as I could ... not that I have any retirement plans just yet," he told The Sentinel.
"It's still a bit surreal what we did and I don't suppose it will sink in until about 15 minutes before we kick off at Stoke.
"It will be a right pressure cooker atmosphere for that first game at Stoke and we'll probably have a few new faces by then.
"As a player, I think I'm ready to make the step up to the Premier League, but until I've played a full season I suppose I won't know if I'm a Premier League goalscorer.
"It will be trial and error for me, but I'm quietly confident I can do it."
