Burnley striker Lewis Richardson wins England U17 call

Burnley striker Lewis Richardson has been called up to the England's U17s squad for their upcoming matches against Spain and Germany.

The 16-year-old, who has played the majority of the season for the U23s despite being a first-year scholar, was called up to the England U17 squad last month, but missed out due to a minor injury.

But the forward, who has featured in seven out of the nine U23 fixtures this season, will travel to Spain next week, where the Three Lions have three matches scheduled, all being played at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia.

Manchester-born Richardson, who was named among the substitutes for Sean Dyche's side against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup,
