Barnes has experienced significant issues with his groin over the past few weeks.

It has caused him to miss games, and the injury will not go away.

Now he will see a specialist, per the Press Association.

Barnes was not involved in the FA Cup game against Peterborough, while he could be absent for the Premier League game against Chelsea this weekend as well.
