Burnley are seeking to re-sign released Chelsea captain Gary Cahill.
The Sun says Burnley boss Sean Dyche has identified the former England international as a possible target.
The 33-year-old left Chelsea at the end of last season after struggling for regular game time under Maurizio Sarri.
He enjoyed a trophy-laden career at Stamford Bridge which saw him win the Champions League in 2012 and two Premier League titles among other honours.
It is reported Burnley are willing to offer him terms of £30,000-a-week plus an appearance bonus in the hope he can be tempted to Turf Moor.
