Burnley and Norwich City are eyeing Newcastle United defender David Edgar.

The Canada international told the Evening Chronicle: "We're waiting to see in the next couple of days.

"The deadline is coming up and we'll see what happens.

"It would be a good experience.

"I have always wanted to do it and I need to do it for my development right now."
