Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick is a shock summer target for AC Milan.

Sky Italia says Milan are considering a move to sign Hendrick.

The Republic of Ireland international is out of contract this summer and, despite featuring prominently for Sean Dyche's side this season, is yet to pen fresh terms after holding talks over a new deal.

Milan are hoping to convince the 28-year-old to take on a new adventure in Serie A after focusing on British-based players, having tried to sign Antonee Robinson from Wigan in January.

The Rossonero have been working the British transfer market with former Arsenal chief exec Ivan Gazidis now in charge.
