Burnley midfielder Hendrick pleads not guilty to court charge

Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick has pleaded not guilty to the violent disorder charges slapped on him in Dublin.

A Dublin man, Darren McDermott, claims that he was left with a fractured jaw after he was dragged from a taxi by Hendrick and then beaten by a group of men on October 12, 2013.

The 25-year-old midfielder pleaded not guilty to the charge at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Hendrick, who is an Irish international, made 32 league appearances for the Clarets last season.
