Burnley midfielder Cork mocks: Same old Liverpool, always...

Burnley midfielder Jack Cork has hit out at Liverpool ahead of tonight's clash at Turf Moor.

The midfielder says Jurgen Klopp's men, along with the rest of the Premier League's top teams, regularly commit cynical fouls — but escape any action as they are committed away from dangerous areas.

Cork said: “If you look at Liverpool, Man City, all the top teams who are on the front foot pressing, as soon as they lose the ball high up the pitch, someone makes a foul so they can't get countered.

“It doesn't necessarily get highlighted because they have a lot of the ball but it's part of their game.

“It's their style of play as well — they're aggressive, on the front foot, but just in different areas.

“I think we are a team that also has to be on the front foot and on it all the time — otherwise it won't go our way and we won't get the results we want."
