Jack Cork has admitted it would be a terrific experience playing European football with Burnley.
The Clarets are in seventh with 40 points - equalling their total from last term - and will qualify for the Europa League if Manchester United, Tottenham or Chelsea win the FA Cup.
"The 40-point mark was always the main aim. With nine games remaining we'll try and hit 50 points now if we can," Cork said.
"That's another new target for us. To get to 40 points is a big relief and that's the one that we wanted to get. Now we'll try and enjoy our football and enjoy the rest of the season."
On European qualification, the midfielder added: "I suppose. It looks like it's going to be seventh this season if the cups go that way.
"We'll have to see. Obviously I've never played in the Europa League so it would be a great experience if we did manage to do that."
