Burnley midfielder Brownhill: Goal celebration for Westwood

Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill paid tribute to Ashley Westwood after victory over Watford.

Brownhill fired home an 86th minute winner, as the Clarets came from behind at Vicarage Road to beat Watford 2-1.

He said: “It doesn't matter how they go in. I just saw Vyds [Matej Vydra] when I was at the edge of the box and shouted 'Set'. Normally, he doesn't set it!

“I just passed it into the bottom corner though and I'm just absolutely buzzing. For all of our hard work this season that we've put in, we fully deserve that."

Brownhill on the celebration, added: “I ran that far because my family and some of my friends, about eight or nine people, were here.

“For them to see me score, they've not seen me get many in the Premier League. It was so late on, and it meant a lot to me and to them too.

"The gesture with the hands was for Westy."

Westwood is currently recovering from a serious ankle injury suffered at West Ham.
