Burnley manager Sean Dyche sees the international break as the perfect chance to regroup.
The Clarets are facing a huge battle between now and the end of the season.
They are only two points clear of the relegation zone, having played one more game than 18th placed Cardiff.
"It's time to reflect and make sense of it, there's got to be work and there has to be a rest for the players as well," said Dyche to reporters.
"The thought on that is to make sure they clear their minds and get ready to go again, because that's the nature of the Premier League, and get ready for the next challenges that are to come.
"There's a lot of football to be played and we have to get back to the feel of what we do. We're not a million miles away.
"We're in a shape we possibly couldn't have been in at Christmas, so that's the bigger picture.
"But we've got more work to do. That's nailing it down. We've got more to do."
