Burnley lead race for Birmingham City striker Adams

Burnley are persisting in their interest of Birmingham City attacker Che Adams.

The striker is seen as a long term target for Sean Dyche's side.

But Birmingham are currently facing a transfer sanction, which means they can only register five new players this season - a figure they have already reached.

It means that if they were to sell Adams this window, they cannot loan him back.

Sky Sports News suggests they will resist any bids before the end of the transfer window.

The 22-year-old has scored 14 goals in 30 games for the club in the Championship this term.
