Burnley in sale talks with US firm

Burnley are in sale talks.

ALK Capital LLC - an American sports investment company - is in talks to buy Burnley, reports Sky Sports.

Negotiations are at an advanced stage and would see majority ownership of the club handed to ALK Capital, which is headed by Alan Pace.

Last year, Pace unsuccessfully attempted to buy Sheffield United and was formerly president of MLS club Real Salt Lake.

Burnley are currently chaired by British businessman Mike Garlick, who has a 49.24% stake, while John Banaszkiewicz owns 28.2% of the club's shares.
