Burnley in advanced talks over new Pope contract

Burnley are in advanced talks over a new contract with England goalkeeper Nick Pope.

The 29-year-old, who missed out on England's Euro campaign through injury, has established himself as one of the top keepers in the Premier League in recent seasons.

And Burnley are keen to tie him down to a lucrative long-term deal to fend off interest from rival clubs, says the Mirror.

Pope still has two years to run on the contract he signed in 2019, with the option of a further year.

But he is a huge part of Sean Dyche's team and the club are keen to get his long-term future wrapped up.
