Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart has been told he can still earn an England recall.

The Mirror says England boss Gareth Southgate is going to watch Burnley 's clash with Bournemouth at Turf Moor with 31-year-old Hart back to some of his best form.

Hart was left out of the World Cup squad and it would still seem a tall order for him to get back into the England set-up but Southgate has publicly insisted the door is open.

Southgate has got Jordan Pickford as his No1 but there are doubts over Jack Butland after Stoke were relegated and Southampton's Alex McCarthy and Fulham keeper Marcus Betinelli were in the last England squad.

Hart last featured for the Three Lions in a friendly with Brazil back in November last year.
