Burnley are still contemplating all options on the future of Nahki Wells.
The 28-year-old is not a first team regular, as he only played in nine games last season, with each appearance coming off the bench.
The striker arrived from Huddersfield Town last summer but could depart on loan before the transfer window shuts.
The arrival of Matej Vydra means he will have an even harder time getting into the team.
"Nakhi is fighting for his chance to play and there's been a bit of interest in him from outside, but we haven't made a decision on that and neither has he," said his manager Sean Dyche to the Lancashire Telegraph.
"We're very open with our players, knowing what's right for them and what's right for us."
