Burnley defender James Tarkowski has hailed Joe Hart for his impressive displays since joining the club this summer.

Hart transferred from Manchester City, where he knew that playing time would be limited. He has been very impressive, especially in the recent 1-0 defeat to Wolves where he pulled off a series of stunning saves to keep his side in the game.

And Tarkowski knows that Burnley cannot rely on Hart to bail them out every time.

"Joe has worked hard in the last few games and he's been terrific. The goalkeeper is there to stop the ball from going in the net and he's doing that for us," he said to the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We need to help him out a bit more and restrict the amount of shots on goal. It's something that we need to work on.

"He's fitted in really well and I hope he's enjoying his time on a day-to-day basis but the points and the performances are just as important as that. He'll be wanting to keep some more clean sheets, as we all are, then we can win some matches."
