Burnley defender Mee: Players won't care about neutral venues

Burnley defender Ben Mee does not think that neutral venues will bother players.

Many clubs are unhappy at being forced to play closed door games in neutral stadiums when play resumes during the COVID-19 outbreak.

But Mee thinks that most players would not have issues adjusting to the new reality, which will include matches behind closed doors.

"We can certainly get over that fact," the 30-year-old told reporters, per Leicestershire Live.

"I think as players we can play football and it still works on the park or if it's in an unfamiliar stadium.

"Hopefully we can get these games televised and people can watch them and enjoy them."
