Burnley defender Ben Gibson says that he wants to make up for lost time.
The defender has not been happy with how his career has gone since arriving at the club in the summer.
But he was dealing with hernia injuries, which have meant only five Premier League appearances so far.
But now he is fit and ready to help the team in their bid to stay in the Premier League.
"Now I'm fit and ready to go, and ready to make my mark for the team," said Gibson to reporters.
"Lately we've had some really good performances and results and we want to build on that.
"For me, I'm as fit as I can be, and if I get given an opportunity I need to take it.
"At this club, the manager is very good at knowing when to bed players in . I can't control selection of the team.
"I just need to give my all in training every day, do everything right, and wait for my opportunity to come. It's as simple as that.
"You can't worry about things that are not in your control."
