"The Championship is hard, because you have to be fit to play there, but the Premier League is more cultured and tactically better," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"It is quicker, it is sharper and games are very hard because you play against the best teams in the world.
"It is a challenge for me, playing in the Premier League. You want to prove you can play at the highest level.
"You're not so angry because you know you've given everything to try to get a result there.
"The players have two legs like us, the difference is maybe they've got more experience.
"Hopefully we can win a lot of home games and try to stay in this division."
