Burnley defender Ben Mee admits they failed to test Everton on Friday night.

The Clarets lost 2-0 as Everton won via goals through Richarlison and Seamus Coleman.

Mee said: "We didn't get going and they started strong, they are two poor goals to concede. We couldn't get out of our half.

"It's not an easy place to play, the crowd were up and we found it difficult. We were off it for the first 30 minutes or so. I try and get in the way of every shot and it took it in unfortunately.

"The lads have ben fantastic, it's been a big effort and we want to see the season out strong."
