Burnley deal in place for Crystal Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey

Burnley are on the brink of signing released Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

The Daily Mail says the experienced 34-year-old left Crystal Palace after his contract ended, having played 132 times in all competitions during his eight seasons at SE25.

Hennessey had interest from Chelsea and Aston Villa also, with Thomas Tuchel and Dean Smith previously considering him for a backup option.

The 96-cap Wales international held talks with Burnley last week and the signing is expected to be confirmed on Monday.
