Burnley closer to signing Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill

Burnley are edging closer to signing Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill.

The Daily Mail says Burnley have agreed a £10million deal for Brownhill as part of discussions to sell Nahki Wells to the Championship side.

The 24-year-old midfielder is a man in demand having helped fire his side into play off contention this season, with The Robins sat in sixth in the league.

Brownhill has scored five goals and provided two assists in 29 appearances for Lee Johnson's side this season, and is on the precipice of a move to the Premier League.

Long time admirers Burnley have made a breakthrough in negotiations with Bristol City for their captain, with the proposal of Nahki Wells an offer too good to refuse for City.
